This begins as the first blog to introduce artists from the HoDooi.com platform, kicking off to provide you all an insight into an original NFT artist from HoDooi.com – FOMO Kids.
We kicked off the NFT Creator Insight series by asking FOMO Kids various questions related to himself, his drops, his inspiration and thoughts on HoDooi.com.
Who is FOMO Kids and what is its background?
He is known as DEMO and draws pictures for fun and money. He is a professional illustrator working in the field for a long time already, claiming to it be the best job ever and has a real LOVE designing characters with originally being art educated (as we can tell with the amazing work that they create).
When did FOMO Kids begin getting involved with NFTs?
DEMO made his first NFT around six months ago, and it was a nice picture with a real creative history to it however this piece is now burned.
What is your process behind creating your NFTs?
DEMO portrays FOMO Kids as simple cartoon dudes, they get new property almost every day and he posts some test PFPs on his Twitter, test colour systems or new hairstyles (he is always open to feedback too).
Nothing new will be minted for now but he plans to give something cool to all of his NFT holders in the near future.
Where do you get your inspiration from on your latest HoDooi.com collection?
DEMO was inspired by everything that’s going on in this crazy NFT space, he wanted to create a positive collection about negative aspects of the market, so he thought that going all-in on FOMO Kids was something that can be very dramatic, but also fun at the same time.
This is how FOMO Kids was born.
Have any other NFT artists inspired some of your collections? If so who
DEMO mentioned that he loves so many collections it’s impossible to count, and is sure that each PFP is full of influence from others. But when I started FOMO Kids he was thinking very very hard about how to find his own style, so the thick and clean lines, the humble colour palette are something that is his and from his own imagination.
What made you drop your collection on HoDooi.com V2?
It was DEMOs plan from the beginning to find a small platform and to build a relationship with the team. To build together something even better, he is very bullish on himself and also bullish on HoDooi.com, $HOD and NFTs on BNB.
Simple and easy.
How are you finding the updated platform?
DEMO mentioned that he likes the design and how easy the minting and listing is. Also that the price is in $HOD, which gives more utility to the token. He is a huge fan of the Metamask connection and hopes to see more features soon.
Have you got anything else on the cards regarding your next collection or drops on HoDooi.com?
He is not doing the next collection, FOMO Kids is a work in progress and will be for the next six (6) months to a year. He says those dudes (FOMO Kids) just started their journey. He won’t say anything, he is focused on work, not on words.
